Hi, I don't think you are doing this correctly. OBSERVE ! -> I do mean the standalone installer, not the one that installs from a browser etc. I tried to check the knowledge base for help, no good.ĭoes anyone know how to download a standalone installer that actually will display the buttons to press "install now" or "accept install" or whatever is needed to get the 10.1 version installed ? I tried to call adobe systems for help, bad idea as they dont have telephone support for free software. I tried to download from difrerent places to see if there was a "working" installer somewhere, no install. I tried to change the visual appearence of my windows to try and see the buttons, no install.

I tried to tab my way to a possible button, no install. I tried to deal with this in many ways, but I cant get the installer to actually install 10.1 To show you what I mean, I made a screenshot of it.

I cant see the install buttons in the installer GUI. Photo: Flash Player 10.1 on a Nexus One phone (Keith Axline/Wired.But fact still remains. On a Nexus One, Flash content - especially video - took time to load, which was frustrating. Gadget Lab's first look at a Flash Player 10.1 beta showed that Flash on the mobile phone can be fun, unlocking sites that otherwise would be inaccessible. Much of that content has been unavailable on mobile devices: The previous version of Adobe's mobile Flash player, Flash Lite, supported only basic Flash content, such as video.

Adobe's Flash standard is still widely used on the internet, for everything from animated banner ads and splash screens to infographics, educational content and games. Who knows how it will perform?"īut many developers are not convinced. We think it will eventually ship, but we’re glad we didn’t hold our breath. "Adobe publicly said that Flash would ship on a smartphone in early 2009, then the second half of 2009, then the first half of 2010, and now they say the second half of 2010. We have never seen it," wrote Jobs in a note posted on the Apple website in April.

"We have routinely asked Adobe to show us Flash performing well on a mobile device, any mobile device, for a few years now.
